I am a young researcher in the interdisciplinary area of Cognitive Science and Human-Computer Interaction. I employ a systems approach for my research projects pulling from the strengths of computer science, engineering, psychology, sociology and cognitive neuroscience.
Currently, I'm a PhD student at the Design Lab, University of California, San Diego. In 2018, I graduated summa cum laude from Mount Holyoke College with a bachelors degree in Computer Science and Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience).
In addition to my research in academia, I've spent my summers working on industry projects in Machine Learning, Computational Modelling, Cloud Computing and Big Data Analytics at IBM and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Also, I've been committed to bringing better engineering and entrepreneurship opportunities to women and other underrepresented populations through establishing programs like the Mount Holyoke College Girls in Tech Conference and HackHolyoke.
When I'm not coding or analyzing brain waves, I love hiking, playing squash and petting dogs.
